I've wondered if there's a specific trigger that makes them cement down or if it's more like a developmental window. The mucus-net feeding strategy makes sense once locked in place.
I don’t associate it with driving myself—if you grew up somewhere where, unlike NYC, the cops patrolled solo in cars, it was something you saw all the time.
